The founder of the company, Ivars Kalniņš, inherited his profession from his grandfather Kārlis Mežiņš, who dedicated all his life to furniture manufacturing and taught this craft to his grandson.

 

After spending several years in other companies, Ivars, inspired by grandfather, founded Rīgas Zīle, which he manages for over 10 years.

 

Since incorporation Rīgas Zīle has manufactured over 1000 different projects (kitchens, office and store furniture, wardrobes and many more).

 

Ivars has defined following priorities for each and every project:

• Correct ergonomy of each piece of furniture in order to ease the daily use;

• Individual approach and in-depth understanding of the needs of each client in order to find the best solution within the means and according to the needs of the client;

• Cutting edge solutions and use of high-quality materials
